The Frisco Roughriders scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning to take the lead and held on for a 3-2 victory over Midland Saturday night at Dr. Pepper Ballpark.
Taking advantage of a walk and a wild pitch, Frisco added a couple of singles to move ahead and rely on their pitching to seal the win.
Starting pitcher Jacob Brigham gets no decision, despite going 6 innings, giving up just 1 run on 4 hits. Brigham struck out 5. Wilfredo Boscan earned the win, his second of the season. Boscan pitched just 2/3 of an inning, striking out 2 batters. Joe Ortiz earned his 3rd save of the year, striking out 2 in his 1 2/3 innings.
At the plate, Engel Beltre had 2 hits, including a solo home run in the 3rd inning.
