The Dallas Tennis Classic, presented by Zodiac Watches, will hold the tournament semifinals on Saturday, March 16, at the Four Seasons Resort and Club – Dallas at Las Colinas. All Saturday matches will be played on the championship court.

Saturday’s matches will begin at Noon, with the only Doubles Semifinal of the day matching second-seed Eric Butorac & Dominic Inglot vs. four-seed Johan Brunstrom & Raven Klaasen. The winner of this match will advance to the Doubles Finals on Sunday vs. top-seeded Jurgen Melzer & Philipp Petzschner. Melzer and Petzschner advanced to the Doubles Finals on Friday on a walkover (withdrawal due to injury). The duo was scheduled to take on third-seeded Edouard Roger-Vasselin and Igor Sijsling on Friday but because of an injury to Roger-Vasselin, Melzer and Petzschner advanced.

The first Singles Semifinal match for Saturday will follow the doubles match (starting at or just after 1:30 pm), featuring qualifier Denis Kudla (USA) vs. wild card entry Philipp Petzschner (Germany). Kudla defeated Bobby Reynolds on Friday (6-4, 6-4), while Petzschner downed Olivier Rochus (6-2, 6-2).

Tickets for Saturday’s Semifinals and Sunday’s Finals are on sale now at DallasTennisClassic.com. Sunday’s matches will feature the Doubles Final at 1 pm, followed by the Singles Final.

The event is sanctioned by the ATP, the principal organizer of the men’s professional tennis tour. The Dallas Tennis Classic has the highest level of prize money on the ATP Challenger Tour, plus hospitality. The tournament enjoys an exception from other challenger events, in that players positioned 11-50 in the ATP rankings are allowed to enter, and those ranked top-10 in the world are allowed to receive a Wild Card to compete for a prize money purse of $125,000. The event features a 32-player singles draw and a 16-team doubles draw.

The Dallas Tennis Classic is conveniently positioned on the ATP tournament schedule between the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, Calif., and the Sony Open in Key Biscayne, Fla., both of which are mandatory events for the top-50 ranked players. This slot on the tournament schedule has consistently seen draws that include the top players as they prepare for the Sony Open in Key Biscayne.
