Shocker at Wimbledon

The biggest shock of the tournament happened in the Ladies quarterfinal round as No. 2 and five-time champion Venus Williams was ousted by Tsvetana Pironkova.  Pironkova, ranked 82 in the world, has beaten Williams before, in the opening round of the 2006 Australian Open.  It is the first time she has ever gotten past the 2nd round at Wimbledon.

In order to get to the final, Pironkova will have to beat Vera Zvonareva (21) who came from behind to upset Kim Clijsters (8).

In a battle of unseeds, Petra Kvitova overcame 5 match points to defeat Kaia Kenepi.

No. 1 Serena Williams kept rolling, winning in straight sets against Na Li (9).
