SMU Falls To Navy

The SMU Mustangs lost their first home game of the season, 24-17 to Navy.  The Mustangs fall to 6-4 on the season, 4-2 in the C-USA.  It is the 3rd loss in the last 4 games for SMU, which is bowl-eligible for the 3rd straight year.

The Midshipmen won the game on the strength of their rushing attack, which gained 335 yards.  Navy only attempted 2 passes all day, with no completions.

Zach Line achieved his 8th 100-yard game of the season for SMU, gaining 135 yards on 24 carries.

SMU receiver Cole Beasley scored 2 touchdowns, finishing with 8 catches for 65 yards.  Terrance Wilkerson led SMU in receiving yards with 69 on 5 catches.

Navy was 8 of 13 converting 3rd downs while SMU was only 4 of 12.  

SMU will travel to Houston on Saturday to take on No. 11 Houston.
