SMU loses to UAB

Papa Dia had a double-double for SMU (10-8, 1-3) with 16 points and 10 rebounds in a 67-53 SMU loss to UAB on Wednesday night. It is his 8th double-double of the season and 4th in a row. Dia became SMU’s all-time leading scorer in C-USA games with 514 points and is 27th all-time in SMU career points (1114). Dia has scored in double-digits in 16 of the past 17 games.

Rodney Clinkscales also had 16 points for the Mustangs, his 6th double-digit scoring game of the season.

Mike Walker moved into 10th at SMU in career 3-point shots with 108.

SMU hosts Southern Miss on Saturday at 2 p.m.
