SMU M-Soccer Ranked No. 5 In NSCAA Poll
DALLAS (SMU) – The SMU men’s soccer team is ranked No. 5 in the NSCAA Preseason National Rankings. The Mustangs also are ranked fifth in the country by both College Soccer News and Goal.com.
SMU is coming off a season in which it advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight, posted a 16-2-2 record and won the Conference USA regular season title. The Ponies once again have plenty of fire power as the team returns five of its top six point scorers.
The Mustangs open the season Aug. 27 with a tilt against William & Mary, a rematch of the NCAA Round of 16 game from 2010. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Westcott Field.
Season tickets are on sale now for $24 and individual game tickets are $6 apiece. Groups of 20 or more receive half-priced tickets. Tickets can be purchased online at smumustangs.com or by calling 214-SMU-GAME.
