SMU Rallies To Beat Montana State

The SMU Mustangs came from behind to defeat the Montana State University Bobcats 31-30 Saturday night at Gerald J. Ford Stadium.  The Mustangs overcame a 17-point deficit with the go-ahead touchdown coming with just 12 seconds remaining in the game.

Trailing 30-25, SMU drove 81 yards for the win, capped by a 4-yard touchdown pass from Garrett Gilbert to Darius Joseph.  Gilbert finished the day completing 35 of 48 passes for 317 yards and one touchdown.  

Joseph led the team with 113 yards receiving on 12 catches, edging Jeremy Johnson’s 112 yards on 7 catches.

JaBryce Taylor scored a touchdown on a 55-yard punt return.  Taylor had 207 all-purpose yards in the game (27 rushing, 125 kickoff return, and 55 punt return.)
