SMU Routs Malone
The SMU Mustangs, under coach Larry Brown, improve to 4-0 for the first time since 2000 with an 81-47 win over Malone Monday night at Moody Coliseum.
The Mustangs were led by guard Jalen Jones with 20 points. It is his 3rd straight game with 20 or more points. Jones has scored in double figures in 5 consecutive games dating back to last season.
Forward Shawn Williams scored a career-high 13 points and added 3 steals. Sophomore guard Ryan Manuel also scored 13 points for the Mustangs.
Nick Russell had a career-high 8 assists in the game.
The Mustangs return to action Wednesday night as they host Rider.
