SMU Soccer Captain Named Academic All-American

TOWSON, Md. (SMU) – SMU men’s soccer player Adam Still has been named to the Capital One Academic All-America first team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Still, a native of Colleyville, Texas, holds a 3.91 GPA in business administration. Last month, Still received his second Academic All-Conference USA nod and was named First Team Academic All-America District VII. He is also a finalist for the 2011 Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award. In 2010, Still was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America third team, was a District VI All-America and was named to the Conference USA All-Academic team. He was also a 2009 District VI All-America honoree. Still is a three-time C-USA Academic Medal recipient and a three-time member of the C-USA Commissioner’s honor roll.

The Mustang captain led the team to the 2011 Conference USA Tournament title and a No. 6 seed in the NCAA Tournament. He started 18 games this season, averaging over 91 minutes per game, and recorded two assists.
