SMU swimmer earns All-American status

MINNEAPOLIS (SMU) – SMU men’s swimmer Tom Cole earned All-American status as he placed 11th in the 200-yard breaststroke at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships this weekend. Cole clocked in with a time of 1:55.22. The senior captain earned six points for the Mustangs, who finished 32nd at this year’s championships.

Cole had another top-20 finish in the 100-yard backstroke as he placed 18th in a season-best time of 53.39.

Sophomore Mindaugas Sadauskas also competed for SMU. The sprint freestyle specialist came in 26th in the 100-yard freestyle (43.48) and 32nd in the 50-yard freestyle as he matched his season-best performance with a time of 19.82.
