SMU Wins At Tulane

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Nic Moore scored 18 points and had seven assists to lead SMU to a 66-52 win over Tulane on Wednesday night.

Yanick Moreira added 14 points and collected eight boards, and Markus Kennedy had 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting for SMU (15-4, 6-1 American). The Mustangs outrebounded Tulane 41-30.

Louis Dabney had 16 points, including two 3-pointers and 6-of-6 shooting from the free throw line, and Jay Hook added 14 points and seven rebounds for Tulane (13-6, 4-3). The Green Wave made just 16 of 48 (33.3 percent) from the field.

Up three at the half, the Mustangs opened the second on a 21-8 run, a stretch that included 11 straight SMU points. SMU only made one field goal in the final six minutes, but Tulane could not capitalize.

Next up for the Mustangs is a Saturday home game vs. Houston on Jan. 24 at Moody Coliseum. Tip-off is slated for 5:00 p.m. CT and the game will be televised on CBS Sports Network.
