SMUs Burnett Has Strong Showing At Georgia Diving Invitational

ATHENS, Ga. (SMU) – SMU men’s diver Devin Burnett turned in one of his best performances of the season at the Georgia Diving Invitational this week. Burnett placed sixth the in one-meter dive with a score of 313.90, improving 11 spots from the preliminary round (268.45 points). He also earned a sixth-place finish in the platform dive, scoring 316.60. Burnett finished 15th in the three-meter event (276.90).

Hayden Hodges earned three top-25 finishes, placing 18th in the one-meter dive (257.90), 23rd in the platform dive (225.45) and 24th in the three-meter dive (244.90).

Women’s diver Sky Corbett-Methot came in 13th in the three-meter dive with a score of 244.00. She placed 19th in the one-meter event, tallying 200.20 points.

Adrian Aceves (one- and three-meter) and Richard Cornelius (one-meter) also competed for the Mustangs.
