SMU’s Cole And Sadauskas To Compete At NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS/DALLAS (SMU) – SMU swimmers Tom Cole and Mindaugas Sadauskas will represent the men’s swim team at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships March 24-26 at the University of Minnesota.

Cole, a senior and team captain, is seeded fifth in the 200-yard breaststroke after setting a school record time of 1:54.54 at the Conference USA Championships last month. The breaststroke specialist is 20th in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 53.44.

Sadauskas is seeded 18th in the 100-yard freestyle after clocking in at 43.04 at the conference championships. The sophomore is also 33rd in the 50-yard freestyle (19.82) and 37th in the 100-yard backstroke (47.93).

Only 41 teams in the country qualified swimmers for the championships, and SMU is one of only 22 teams to qualify at least two swimmers in individual events.
