Stars 3, Oilers 1

After 2 embarrassing road losses, the Dallas Stars came home to get back on track.  The Edmonton Oilers were just what they needed.  The Oilers have not won in Dallas in their last 8 visits.

Stars goaltender Kari Lehtonen was determined to recover from his poor outing in Vancouver.  He did so by stopping 34 shots by Edmonton.   “When I feel like I didn’t a good job, when I feel like I didn’t help the team, I’m more focused on the next game,” Lehtonen said. “I was able to help the guys and be part of the win and that always feels good.”

Dallas captain Brenden Morrow led the Stars with 2 goals, each in the 2nd period.  Adam Burish made the other Dallas goal.  Morrow was pleased with the Dallas performance, “Two stinkers and we finally came out and showed a little bit more life, did a better job taking away the shooting lanes and Kari was able to swallow up the other ones.”

The Stars head into the all-star break with a record of 30-15-5 and lead the Pacific Division.
