Stars 4 – Hurricanes 1

The Dallas Stars took over 1st place in the Pacific Division with a 4-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes Monday night.  It is the Stars 4th win in a row.

Dallas opened the scoring in the 1st period with a goal by James Neal.  Steve Ott added another in the 2nd period before Neal made it 3-0 with his second goal of the night. 

Eric Staal scored Carolina’s only goal.  Stars goaltender Kari Lehtonen stopped 27 Hurricane shots.

Jamie Benn finished the scoring with a Stars goal in the final period.

The Stars return home to play the Capitals on Thursday.
