Stars Defeat Canucks In OT

The Dallas Stars defeated the Vancouver Canucks 3-2 in overtime Sunday at the American Airlines Center.  It was their first win versus the Canucks since Nov. 16, 2009.  The Stars current four-game win streak is the longest this season since Oct. 10, 2011 – Oct. 21, 2011 when the Stars won five consecutive.

Michael Ryder’s team-leading 25th goal gives him points in 10 of his last 12 games (7-4-11). Mike Ribeiro extended his point streak to seven games with his goal and assist (3-7-10).

Loui Eriksson’s goal and assist gives him points in each of his last three games (3-2-5). He has also scored 11 points in his last 10 games (4-7-11). Eriksson recorded his second consecutive game-winning goal for just the second time in his career. The first came last season on Feb. 24 and 26th against DET and NSH.

Steve Ott’s assist gives him points in three consecutive games (1-2-3).

Trevor Daley’s assist extends his assist streak to four consecutive games (0-4-4).

The Stars host Pittsburg on Wednesday at the AAC.
