Stars Lose To Canucks

The Dallas Stars lost to the Vancouver Canucks 2-1 Thursday night at the American Airlines Center.  The loss dropped the Stars out of first place in the Pacific Division and into a tie for the 8th and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Vernon Fiddler scored his eighth goal of the season, his first since Feb. 1 against Anaheim.  Fiddler’s tip-in midway through the 3rd period was assisted by Erik Nystrom and goalie Kari Lehtonen.  It is Lehtonen’s 2nd assist of the season.

Mike Ribeiro is now 0-for-3 in his career on penalty shot attempts.

Dallas will host the Calgary Flames on Saturday at 1 p.m.
