Stars stay in playoff hunt with win
|The Dallas Stars moved to within two points of the final playoff spot in the NHL West with a 3-0 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday night.
Steve Ott opened the scoring in the first period with a power-play goal that would ultimately be all that was required. Loui Eriksson and Brenden Morrow each scored empty-netters in the final minute to seal the victory.
Goaltender Kari Lehtonen got his 17th shutout after making 23 saves for the Stars.
Dallas has 3 games left and will host Colorado on Thursday night.
