Summer Stampede Racing Series begins Thursday night with Backpack giveaway

FORT WORTH, Texas (June 16, 2010) – The first 500 fans through Gate 4 for tomorrow evening’s season opener of the Thursday Night Summer Stampede short-track racing series will receive a free Texas Motor Speedway backpack.

Gates open at 6:30 p.m. CT, with on-track action starting at 7 p.m. on the quartermile oval along the frontstretch at Texas Motor Speedway. Competition begins at 8:05 p.m. as drivers of all ages from across the country will compete in seven classes over the course of 10 consecutive weeks each Thursday in this summer series.

Tickets are $5 for adults and children under five receive free admission. O’Reilly Auto Parts is partnering with Texas Motor Speedway and the Lone Star Legends series to offer buy-one, get-one-free vouchers for the Thursday Night Summer Stampede. Vouchers are available at all area O’Reilly Auto Parts stores.

Parking for the Thursday Night Summer Stampede is free and coolers are allowed in the grandstand.
