Texas Rangers 8, Detroit 4

The Texas Rangers overcame a 3-run deficit on the way to victory over Detroit.  It is the Rangers third win in the last four games.

It looked as if it would be another long day for the Rangers pitching staff, as starter Colby Lewis gave up hits to the first 3 batters faced and Texas was down by 3 before they ever picked up a bat.  David Murphy brought the Rangers back in a hurry with a 2-run homer in the bottom of the first.

Michael Young provided most of the Rangers offense, scoring a run and batting in 5 more.

Lewis got his pitching act together and went on to retire 15 straight batters before coming out in the 7th inning.  Lewis is now 3-0 for the year.
