Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation creates memorial account in honor of Shannon Stone

Arlington, TEXAS — The Texas Rangers announced Friday that the club’s Foundation has created a Memorial Account in honor of Shannon Stone, the Brownwood, Texas, firefighter who passed away from injuries suffered in the tragic accident Thursday night at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

Fans may make contributions to the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation Memorial Account in honor of Shannon Stone in the following ways:

• At the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation kiosk, located on the Main Concourse at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington during home games.

• Online at texasrangers.com/fund.

• In person at any DFW Metroplex PlainsCapital Bank location to Account 3100038029 in the name of Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation Memorial Account in honor of Shannon Stone.

All of the flags at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington have been lowered to half-staff in the memory of Shannon Stone. The Rangers will also observe a moment of silence in Mr. Stone’s memory prior to Friday’s game. In addition, the Rangers and A’s will wear black ribbons on the front of their uniform jerseys for the final three games of this series.
