Texas Rangers defeat Angels

The Texas Rangers defeated the Los Angeles Angels 5-4 Sunday at the Ballpark in Arlington.

Chris Davis delivered the game winning hit in the bottom of the 8th inning.  Davis singled with the bases loaded to score Adrian Beltre for the game winner.

Ian Kinsler led the Rangers from the plate, going 4 for 4.  Beltre and Davis each hit home runs for Texas.

Starting pitcher C.J. Wilson went 5 innings, giving up 6 hits while getting no decision.  Mark Lowe gets the win despite only pitching a third of an inning.  Neftali Feliz returned to the closing role and earned his 8th save.

Texas wins the series against the A’s, and pulls to 1/2 game of the AL West lead.  The Rangers open a road series against the Chicago White Sox on Monday night.
