Texas Wild Improves to 2-0

The Texas Wild moves to 2-0 with a Monday night victory over the Springfield Lasers.  The unbeaten Wild will return home tonight to open the home portion of the season at the Four Seasons Resort and Club in Las Colinas.  Tickets are still available at www.texaswildtennis.com for the match which begins at 7:30pm.

The Texas Wild’s roster has three returning players from last year’s Western Conference finalist team — Alex Bogomolov Jr., Darija Jurak, and Aisam Qureshi. Newcomer Anabel Medina Garrigues will make her debut for the Texas Wild on July 6th in their season opener at Boston. Garrigues won two WTA doubles titles in 2014 with Yaroslava Shvedova and is currently ranked No. 22 in the world in doubles. Garrigues has two Grand Slam titles, won the silver medal for women’s doubles at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and has a career high ranking of No. 16 in the world for singles.
