Tim Clark wins THE PLAYERS Championship

Tim Clark becomes just the 2nd player to earn his first PGA TOUR win at THE PLAYERS (the other was Craig Perks in 2002.)  It was Clark’s 205th professional start on the TOUR.  With the win, Clark jumps from 30th to 5th in the FedExCup standings, 287 points behind leader Ernie Els.

Clark finished at -16, with a bogey-free final round.

Robert Allenby finished 2nd at -15.  It was his 62nd top-10 win on the TOUR.

Lucas Glover had his best PLAYERS result.  He finished 3rd with -14.  This is the first time in 5 appearances that he made the cut at THE PLAYERS.

Three players, Davis Love III, Ben Crane, and Lee Westwood finished at 12-under.

Tiger Woods withdrew after six holes in the final round with a neck injury.
