Twins Rally To Beat Rangers

The Texas Rangers took a one-run lead into the ninth inning but couldn’t hold it as reliever Neftali Feliz gave up 2 runs to give the Minnesota Twins a 9-8 victory Tuesday night at the Ballpark.

Rangers starting pitcher C.J. Wilson gave up 3 early runs, but Texas battled back to take a 4-run lead after 4 innings.  Then things fell apart for Wilson.  Wilson could not get an out in the 5th inning, as the Twins scored 3 runs to get within 1 run.

The Rangers led 8-7 in the 9th inning when the Twins scored twice on 3 hits given up by Feliz.  It was Feliz’ 5th blown save of the season.

Nelson Cruz and Yorvit Torrealba each had 3 hits for the Rangers.  Torrealba blasted a 3-run homer in the 4th inning.  Chris Davis, who was the Rangers only starter without a hit on Monday night, went 2-for-4.

Texas will host the Twins again tonight with Colby Lewis on the mound going for his 6th straight win.
