ND State 3-peats As NCAA FCS Football Champs

Frisco, TX – North Dakota State won the NCAA Division 1 FCS Football Championship for the third year in a row at Toyota Stadium in Frisco.  With the 35-7 victory over Towson, ND State joins Appalachian State (2005-2007) as the only teams to win 3 consecutive titles. 

The Bison’s 24-game winning streak is the longest in FCS history.  Head coach Craig Bohl will leave the school with a record of 104-32 after 11 seasons.  Bohl will become the head coach at Wyoming while assistant coach Chris Klieman will take the reins at North Dakota State.

North Dakota State quarterback Brock Jenson was the game MVP.  Jenson completed 13 of 18 passes for 135 yards and 1 touchdown.   Jenson also rushed for a score while commiting no turnovers.

The Bison rushed for 210 yards and 4 touchdowns in the game, led by John Crockett with 84 yards and Sam Ojuri with 84.
