Rangers Drop One To Angels

The were just 3 outs from a sweep of the Angels in Anaheim before Mark Trumbo belted a 2-run walk-off home run off reliever Mike Adams to give the Angels a 2-1 victory.

Texas starter Colby Lewis went 7 innings, allowing no runs and striking out 7.  His effort was wasted as Adams is credited with the blown save.

Elvis Andrus was the only Ranger with a hot bat.  Andrus got 3 of the Rangers 7 hits.  Mike Napoli got the only Texas score with a solo home run in the 7th inning.  Napoli has not hit safely in 19 straight road games.

The Rangers leave L.A. after taking 3 of 4 from the Angels and hold a 6 game lead over them for the AL West.  Texas starts a series in Chicago against the White Sox tonight.
