Texas Rangers Television Ratings Dominate Dallas-Fort Worth Market: Television ratings for the first three games of the Texas Rangers-Minnesota Twins series have dominated the Dallas-Fort Worth market this week, producing the No. 1-rated primetime program in DFW on two of the three nights.

Wednesday night’s (Aug. 25) game delivered the team’s third-highest rating of all-time on FOX Sports Southwest with a 7.3, finishing behind the top two all-time Rangers ratings established earlier this season on back-to-back nights against the New York Yankees (9.3 on Aug. 11 and 8.0 on Aug. 10). Monday’s (Aug. 23) near no-hitter generated a 6.1 rating, while Tuesday’s (Aug. 24) game averaged a 5.4 rating. Monday’s and Wednesday’s game were the most-watched programs in primetime in Dallas-Fort Worth, while Tuesday’s game finished No. 3 behind NBC’s America’s Got Talent (7.9) and CBS’ NCIS: Los Angeles (5.7).

The strong ratings this week have improved the team’s season average rating on FOX Sports Southwest to a season-high 3.5, a 29% increase over last year’s rating at this time.
