Rangers Rout Blue Jays

The Texas Rangers found their offense on the final day of a road series in Toronto.  Texas won the game 11-2 and took two out of three from the Blue Jays.

The Rangers belted out 19 hits in the game, including home runs by Michael Young and David Murphy.  Six different Rangers had multiple hits on the day, led by Elvis Andrus with a 4-for-6 outing.   Texas batted around in the 5th inning, scoring 5 runs and jumping to an 8-1 lead.  Six Rangers also hit doubles in the rout.

Starting pitcher Matt Harrison did not require much run support.  Harrison pitched 8 innings, allowing just 2 hits.  Harrison struck out 7.  It improves his record to 14-7.   

Mark Lowe pitched the final inning for Texas, sending Toronto down in order.

The Rangers improve their record to 70-50, and return home for a series against Baltimore on Monday.  First pitch is at 7:05pm at the Ballpark in Arlington.  Texas will put Ryan Dempster on the mound to face Miguel Gonzalez.
