The Dallas Stars move to 3-1 on the season with a 3-2 victory over the St Louis Blues Thursday night at the American Airlines Center.  It was the 5th consecutive Stars victory over the Blues.

Loui Eriksson opend the scoring in the 1st period with a backhand shot on an assist by Steve Ott.  Adam Burish scored the second goal for Dallas, assisted by Trevor Daley.  Brenden Morrow scored his first goal of the season on a power play to give the Stars a 3-0 lead.

Goaltender Kari Lehtonen stopped 36 of 38 shots.  Lehtonen has allowed just 4 goals on 117 shots as he improves to 3-0 on the year.

“Special teams was the difference,” said Dallas coach Glen Gulutzen.  “We got one shortie and one power play and that kind of helped us out and goaltending for sure,”

The Stars host Columbus Saturday night at the American Airlines Center, where they are unbeaten (3-0) this season.
