Texas Rangers Foundation announces charitable contributions

Arlington, TX – The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation today announced a pair of charitable contributions that will assist two very worthwhile organizations.

Through the generosity of Rangers second baseman Ian Kinsler and his wife Tess, the Foundation is making $10,000.00 contributions to the Arlington Miracle League and the Bella’s Blessing Foundation of Kennedale, TX.

“We want to thank Tess and Ian Kinsler for their generosity in aiding the Arlington Miracle League and Bella’s Blessing,” commented Rangers Managing Partner and CEO Chuck Greenberg. “Our players certainly do make a major impact in

the community, and we are proud of their efforts.”

The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation has been a significant partner of the Miracle League since its inception in Arlington in 2005. The Foundation funded the construction of the Doug Inman Miracle League Field at Randol Mill Park, which provides play for over 600 special needs children each year. In late November, a fire believed to have been set by vandals destroyed the Miracle League’s storage facility and much of its equipment. Today’s donation will assist the Miracle League in acquiring new equipment for the 2011 season.

The Bella’s Blessing Foundation assists families of sick children who may not qualify for traditional/government help while caring for their youngsters. The organization has focused on families with children at Cook Children’s Hospital of Fort Worth and Children’s Medical Center of Dallas but seeks to expand its scope of assistance in the future.
