The Texas Rangers completed a sweep of the Minnesota Twins Sunday afternoon in Minneapolis. A 2-run blast by Josh Hamilton in the eighth inning gave the Rangers a 4-3 victory.
The home run was Hamilton’s 4th of the year. It came with Elvis Andrus on base after a hard hit ball to right field scored Ian Kinsler and landed Andrus on 3rd base with a triple. The first Texas run came in the 5th inning when Mike Napoli hit his first home run of the season.
Starting pitcher Neftali Feliz went 5 innings for the Rangers, giving up 3 runs on 5 hits. Reliever Robbie Ross earned his second win, throwing 2 shutout innings. Mike Adams and Joe Nathan finished for the Rangers.
The 8-2 Rangers have Monday off before traveling to Boston for a road series against the Red Sox.
