The Texas Rangers pounded out 15 runs in a 15-5 rout of the Florida Marlins Friday night at the Ballpark in Arlington.

Nelson Cruz celebrated his 31st birthday by batting in 6 RBIs with a home run and a triple.  It is the first time a Ranger player has had 6 or more RBIs in a game since Cruz did it before in April 2009.

Adrian Beltre and Taylor Teagarden each had 3 hits in the game.  Teagarden’s 3 hits tie a career high.

Starting pitcher Alexi Ogando broke out of his 3-game slump with a 6 2/3 outing, giving up just 2 runs.  Ogando struck out a career-high 8 batters for his 8th win of the season.

The Rangers homestand continues tonight against the Marlins.
