Harrison Leads Rangers To Shutout Over Mariners

Pitcher Matt Harrison threw a complete-game shutout Sunday afternoon against the Mariners in Seattle. The 4-0 win moves Harrison to 12-4 on the season. Harrison gave up just 5 hits in the game and struck out 3. His 12 wins are tied for the most in the American League.
Offensively, Texas was led by Adrian Beltre, who went 3-for-4 with 2 runs batted in.
Ian Kinsler hit a solo home run in the 5th inning for his 10th round-tripper of the year. Kinsler also scored the opening run for the Rangers on a ground out hit by Josh Hamilton.
The win keeps the Rangers 5 games ahead of the Angels in the AL West as Texas opens a road series with Oakland on Tuesday.
