Adams Named C-USA Cross Country Athlete of the Week

DENTON, Texas – North Texas senior runner Jo Adams was named Conference USA Cross Country Athlete of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

Adams placed first in the women’s 5K race against opponents from SMU, Baylor, Southeastern Oklahoma State, and TCU at the Ken Garland Invitational on Saturday, Sept 28. She helped lead the Mean Green to a second-place team finish.

In her first race of the season, Adams finished with a time of 17:48.47. This is her second weekly award of her career.

The Mean Green will travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas on Saturday, Oct. 5, for the Chili Pepper Cross Country Festival.
