Texas A&M came into Gerald J. Ford Stadium and embarrassed the home team 48-3 in front of the 6th largest crowd ever at SMU.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Aggies offense came alive and scored on 6 of the next 8 drives.  Texas A&M freshman quarterback Johnny Manziel completed 20 of 36 passes for 294 yards and 4 touchdowns.   Manziel also led all players with 124 rushing yards.  The Aggies offense racked up 605 total yards plus A&M had another 136 yards in kick and punt returns.

SMU defensive end Margus Hunt gave the Mustangs one of the few highlights when he blocked a PAT for his 16th career blocked kick to move into 2nd on the all-time NCAA list.

Running back Zach Line gained 104 rushing yards for his 17th career 100-yard game, second only to Eric Dickerson in school history.

The only SMU points came on a 25 yard field goal by Chase Hover.

The Mustangs have a week off before hosting TCU on September 29th.
