DALLAS – The Dallas Mavericks announced today that they have signed forward Naji Marshall to a multi-year contract extension. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Marshall (6-8, 230) averaged a career-best 15.2 points (career-high .510 FG%), 4.7 rebounds, a career-high 3.3 assists, a career-high 1.1 steals and a career-high 29.5 minutes per game in 74 games (career-high 47 starts) for Dallas in 2025-26.
He also produced a career-best six 30-point games last season.
“Naji has earned this opportunity through the way he approaches the game every day,” said Mavericks President Masai Ujiri. “He is a competitive player who impacts winning in a variety of ways. His versatility, toughness and willingness to embrace every challenge make him an important part of what we’re building.”
In two seasons with Dallas, Marshall is averaging 14.3 points (.509 FG%, .778 FT%), 4.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.1 steals and 28.7 minutes across 143 games (78 starts). He has scored 30-plus points eight times with the Mavericks, after he failed to reach 30 in each of his first four seasons with New Orleans.
For his career, Marshall is averaging 10.1 points (.471 FG%, .777 FT%), 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 0.8 steals and 23.0 minutes across 373 games (114 starts) with New Orleans and Dallas.
The 6-8 forward, who went undrafted in 2020, was originally signed by the Mavericks on July 6, 2024, after he spent his first four seasons with the Pelicans (2020-24).
Marshall was a three-year player at Xavier, where he was a Big East All-Freshman Team selection in 2017-18, an All-Big East Second Team honoree in 2018-19, and an All-Big East First Team selection in 2019-20.
The 28-year-old will switch from No. 13 to No. 3 for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
