FC Dallas Draws With Vancouver

Frisco, TX (July 4, 2021) – FC Dallas (2-4-5, 11 points) drew 2-2 with Vancouver Whitecaps FC (2-6-3, 9 points) at Toyota Stadium Sunday night.
Game Summary
First Half:
- 7’ – SHOT (DAL) – Bryan Acosta fired a curler from a difficult angle but his shot is punched out by Maxime Crépeau.
- 12’ – SHOT (DAL) – Ricardo Pepi attempted to get past Crépeau with a low-shot near the top of the six-yard box but Crépeau pushed the ball for a rebound that Pepi tried to chip over but Crépeau was aware and made another save.
- 22’ – GOAL (DAL) – Pepi scored his fifth goal of the season after heading in a cross from Jesús Ferreira past Crépeau.
- 30’ – GOAL (VAN) – Lucas Cavallini was able to take advantage of Bressan’s mistake and got past Jimmy Maurer and slotted the ball into the net to tie the match up at 1-1.
- 45’+2’ – GOAL (VAN) – Andy Rose gave Vancouver a 2-1 lead before the end of the first half after heading in a cross from Déiber Caicedo following a corner.
Second Half
- 48’ – SHOT (DAL) – Shot by Jesús Ferreira from the top of the box ends up going over the crossbar.
- 51’ – SHOT (DAL) – Pepi took a shot from outside of the box and barely missed with the ball going to the left and over the crossbar.
- 56’ – SHOT (DAL) – Bryan Acosta took a right-footed freekick directly outside the left side of the box only for it to be punched away by Crépeau and go over the crossbar.
- 90’+4’ – GOAL (DAL) – Paxton Pomykal’s cross from the right wing was headed by defender Ranko Veselinovic into their own goal to tie the match at 2-2.
