FC Dallas Falls To Vancouver

Vancouver, B.C. (September 25, 2021) – FC Dallas (6-12-9, 27 points) fell 1-0 to the Vancouver Whitecaps (8-8-9, 33 points) on Saturday night at BC Place.
   
Game Summary
First Half:

  • 9’ – SHOT (DAL) – Jáder Obrian’s shot from the right side of the box was punched away by Maxime Crépeau for a corner kick, following a quick free kick pass from Jesús Ferreira.
  • 17’ – SHOT (DAL) – Bryan Acosta’s corner kick cross fell to Matt Hedges inside the box, whose headed shot attempt went wide of Crépeau’s goal.
  • 20’ – GOAL (VAN) – Brian White headed a cross from Russell Teibert into the net to give Vancouver the 1-0 lead.
  • 28’ – SHOT (DAL) – Ema Twumasi’s cross was headed towards goal by Ricardo Pepi, but Crépeau saved his shot attempt.
  • 40’ – SAVE (DAL) – Jimmy Maurer pushed a dangerous header from Lucas Cavallini over the crossbar for his second save of the night. 

 
Second Half

  • 55’ – SAVE (DAL) – Jimmy Maurer saves Brian White’s shot from outside of the box. 
  • 66’ – SHOT (DAL) – Facundo Quignon’s shot from the outside of the box was blocked by the Vancouver defense, following a set up from Szabolcs Schön.
  • 81’ – SHOT (DAL) – Jesús Ferreira’s right-footed curling shot from the edge of the box was handled down low by Crépeau.
  • 90’+6’ – SAVE (VAN) – Maxime Crépeau saved Franco Jara’s penalty kick attempt to keep the 1-0 lead for Vancouver.
