FC Dallas Loans Hernandez To San Antonio

FRISCO, Texas – FC Dallas has loaned defender Moises Hernandez to USL side San Antonio FC. He is eligible to be recalled by FC Dallas at any point this season.

San Antonio will face Phoenix Rising FC on Saturday, September 8 at 7:30 PM at Toyota Field in San Antonio.

Hernandez, 26, signed with FC Dallas on July 31, 2018 after two seasons with the Guatemalan first division club Comunicaciones where he appeared in 46 matches over two seasons.




He first joined FC Dallas in 2010, along with Victor Ulloa and Ruben Luna as the club’s second, third and fourth ever Homegrown players. He was loaned to Comunicaciones in 2012, where he appeared in four matches. Hernandez was loaned to Costa Rican side Deportivo Saprissa for the second half of 2012 and the 2013 campaigns, appearing in 20 matches.

The former FC Dallas Academy player made his MLS debut in FCD’s 2014 season opener, playing 90 minutes in a 3-2 win versus the Montreal Impact on March 8. Hernandez appeared in a total of 31 MLS matches between 2014 and 2015, before being loaned to Rayo OKC for the 2016 season. He appeared in 26 matches with one goal and one assist for the NASL side that season.
