Legends Announce Roster Moves

FRISCO, TX, (Feb. 21, 2018) – The Texas Legends have made roster moves following the All-Star break.  Legends guard Donald Sloan has accepted a deal with the playoff-bound Guangdong Southern Tigers in the Chinese CBA.  

Sloan (6-3, 205, Texas A&M) played 24 games with the Legends, averaging 18.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 5.5 assists and earning NBA G League Player of the Week honors.  The Dallas native also joined Team USA in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Americas Qualifiers where he helped lead USA to an undefeated run.  

Sloan will be making his second appearance with the Tigers after leading the team to the 2017 CBA Finals with averages of 23.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 1.5 steals.  

In a related move, the Legends have added guards Damon Lynn and Duke Mondy to the roster.  Lynn (5-11, 165, NJIT) played four seasons for the Highlanders averaging 18.3 points, 2.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.6 steals in 118 career games and earning All-District and Atlantic Sun All-Conference awards in his last three years.  Prior to joining the Legends, Lynn played six games with Siauliai in Lithuania earlier this season averaging 6.7 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 2.0 assists.  Mondy (6-4, 205, Oakland) has spent the last two years playing internationally, most recently with the Cape Breton Highlanders in Canada where he averaged 18.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.8 steals in 24 games.
