Jordan Malone, short track speed skater from Denton, won a bronze medal as part of the U.S. men’s 5000m relay. Malone, along with teammates J.R. Celski, Simon Cho, Travis Jayner, and Apolo Ohno, fell just behind Canada and Korea.
It is the first Olympic medal for Malone, who was entered in 3 events.
Katherine Reutter took the silver medal in the ladies 1000 m, a tenth of a second behind Meng Wang of China.
