Mavs Take 3-0 Lead Over Timberwolves

The Dallas Mavericks extended their lead in the Western Conference Finals to 3-0 after a hard-fought 116-107 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves at the American Airlines Center on Sunday night.

The Timberwolves, down 0-2 coming into Dallas, looked determined to steal a win on the road. Minnesota’s young star Anthony Edwards had a strong showing, but the Mavericks’ balanced scoring attack proved too much to overcome.

Luka Doncic, the NBA’s scoring champion, led the Mavericks with 31 points, while Kyrie Irving chipped in 23 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. PJ Washington continued his strong performance off the bench, scoring 16 points and hitting several key three-pointers in the fourth quarter.

For the Timberwolves, Karl-Anthony Towns struggled offensively, finishing with just 18 points. However, Naz Reid provided a spark off the bench, scoring 15 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. The Timberwolves’ defense, anchored by Rudy Gobert, kept them in the game throughout, but ultimately a late surge from Dallas sealed the win.

The Mavericks will look to close out the series in Game 4, which will be played in Dallas on Tuesday night.
