Mustangs Earn 8 All-America Honors At 1st Day Of NCAA Swim Championships

AUBURN, Ala. (SMU) – The SMU women’s swimming and diving team earned eight All-America honors at the first day of the NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championship Thursday night. The Mustangs kicked off the championship with an eighth-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay. Nina Rangelova, Genny Konicke, Monika Babok and Isabella Arcila combined to swim the event in a time of 1:29.30, earning 22 points for SMU.

The Ponies also had an All-America finish in the 400-yard medley relay, placing 16th. Therese Svendsen, Erica Donadon, Konicke and Rangelova finished with a time of 3:35.47
