Robertson’s Hat Trick Gives Stars 2-1 Lead

The Dallas Stars pulled off a surprising comeback victory on the road, defeating the Edmonton Oilers 5-3 in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals at Rogers Place on Monday night.

The Oilers jumped out to an early lead with goals from Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl in the first period. However,the Stars responded with a dominant second period, scoring three unanswered goals to take the lead. Jason Robertson,who had been struggling offensively throughout the playoffs, sparked the comeback with a pair of goals in the second frame.

The Stars continued their strong play in the third period, with Robertson completing his first career playoff hat-trick to give Dallas a 4-3 lead. The Oilers pushed for an equalizer, but Jake Oettinger in the Dallas net made several key saves to preserve the lead. An empty-net goal by Jamie Benn in the final minute sealed the win for the Stars.

This victory gives Dallas a 2-1 series lead heading back to American Airlines Center for Game 4 on Wednesday night.
