Sidekicks Lose To Kansas City

Allen, Texas – The Dallas Sidekicks fall to 7-10 in Major Arena Soccer League play with a heartbreaking 7-5 loss Saturday night to the Kansas City Comets.

The first half was a tale of two quarters. The Dallas Sidekicks offense came out with goals scored by Jamie Lovegrove, VcMor Eligwe and Cameron Brown to lead 3-0 at the end of the first quarter.

The Comets turned up in the pressure in the second quarter with an abundant amount of shots but it only resulted in one goal. The Comets outshot the Sidekicks 17-7 in the first half. Vahid Assadpour found the back of the net to cut into Dallas’ lead 1-3.

The Comets offense came out hot in the third quarter with goals scored by Bryan Perez and Ryan Palmer to cut into the Sidekicks lead 3-4. VcMor Elgiwe found the back of the net to score his second goal of the evening.

The fourth quarter was a wild one as both teams went back and forth tying the game up multiple times. The Comets offense was too much to handle for Dallas as Kansas City goals were scored by Vahid Assadpour, Stefan Stokic and two goals scored by Brian Harris. VcMor Eligwe scored his third goal of the night and 20th of the season.
