Sidekicks Lose To Tacoma

ALLEN, Texas – The Dallas Sidekicks fell to 2-4 in Major Arena Soccer League play with a heartbreaking 6-5 shootout loss Friday night to the Tacoma Stars before a crowd of 2,100 at the Allen Event Center.
 
The first half was a tale of two quarters. The Sidekicks got out to an early 3-0 lead with goals scored by Richardinho, Jamie Lovegrove, and Cody Ellis. The Stars came out firing in the second quarter, scoring two goals of their own to cut into the Sidekicks lead 2-3. 
 
Michael Ramos found the back of the net with under a minute remaining in the game. Cody Ellis responded with a power play goal to send the game into overtime.
 
After neither team scored in the 10-minute overtime, Dallas found itself playing in a shootout for the 2nd straight week. The Stars converted twice and won the penalty shootout 2-1 to claim their third win of the season. 
 
The Sidekicks’ next game will be on December 2nd as the team travels to El Paso to take on the Coyotes.  The Sidekicks are currently 2-0 vs. El Paso this season. The Sidekicks’ next home game will be on December 10th against the Saint Louis Ambush at the Allen Event Center.
