SMU Beats Furman
The SMU Mustangs improve to 10-4 with a 72-53 victory over Furman Sunday afternoon at Moody Coliseum. With the win, the Mustangs improve to 5-0 at home this season under head coach Larry Brown.
Brian Bernardi came off the bench to lead the Mustangs in scoring with a career-high 20 points. Jalen Jones scored 14 to post double-digit points for the 12th time in 14 games this season.
Cannen Cunningham scored 13 and Shawn Williams added 10 points for SMU.
The Mustangs out-rebounded Furman 38-33. It is the 11th time in 14 games SMU has controlled the boards.
SMU got off to a 13-0 lead and never looked back. The Mustangs led 38-23 at the half.
SMU will host undefeated Wyoming on Wednesday at 7:00pm in Moody Coliseum.
