SMU Defeats Louisiana Tech

The SMU men’s basketball team improved to 8-5 this season, 5-0 at home, with a 73-65 win over Louisiana Tech Saturday night. The Mustangs have won 6 of their last 8 games.
SMU added 9 3-pointers to lead C-USA from 3-point range, with 108 on the season.
Ryan Manuel led the Mustangs scoring with 13 points. Manuel was 9-10 from the line. Aliaksei Patsevich scored a career-high 11 points and added 2 rebounds, 3 assists, and a steal.
Robert Nyakundi’s 3 point basket ties him for 3rd all-time at SMU with 220. He leads C-USA in 3 point percentage (48.7%).
Shawn Williams scored 9 points, and Jeremiah Samarrippas added 6. All 10 SMU players scored at least 4 points.
