SMU falls to Ole Miss

The SMU Mustangs closed out their non-conference play with a 75-57 home loss to the Ole Miss Rebels.

SMU led for most of the first half, until Ole Miss took the lead 32-30 with just 3 seconds left on the clock. 

The second half was all Mississippi, as the Rebels shot 70% field goals.  SMU could only muster 39% from the field.

SMU forward Robert Nyakundi, from Bowie HS in Arlington, led all scorers with 22 points.  Papa Dia (14) and Jeremia Samarrippas (10) were the only other Mustangs in double digits.

Ole Miss guard Chris Warren led the Rebels with 19 points and 3 assists. 

SMU begins Conference USA play at Tulane on Saturday.
